Nearly 60 wineries are situated in this wine lover’s paradise, and it’s now the third-largest growing region in America. Throughout the fall, North Fork wineries host wine tastings and wine events galore. Not only is their wine excellent, the East End (as it’s also known) is a picturesque enclave and lodgings are top-notch (and reasonably priced when it’s off-season). The Scarola winemaking family built Cedar House on Sound B&B from a former potato packing barn, and it’s been lovingly rebuilt from the ground up, reusing the original wood for ceiling beams, window trim and other architectural elements throughout the structure. The B&B has five distinctive guest rooms, a spacious dining room, and in the Vineyard Lounge you can indulge in wine tastings with Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. from its winery, Scarola Vineyards.
Also, a country-style breakfast as well as a glass of Scarola wine are also included.
This modern hotel with pool, restaurant with locally-sourced food, and spa services isn’t technically on a vineyard, but we’ve included it here because it does offer its guests the famous “North Fork Uncorked Tour.” Huzzah!
On your North Fork wine tour, the hotel will transport you armed with a snack pack on a wine tasting to three North Fork vineyards. Also, the hotel is pet-friendly!
The Harvest Inn has the feel of a B&B with all the modern conveniences of a newly built property. It’s a more cozy experience for the overnighter, and while the Harvest Inn is not on a vineyard per se, their location is smack in the middle of the North Fork Wine Trail. Once at the inn, you can easily create your own wine tour with 10+ wineries close by, including the award-winning Lenz Winery, Raphael, Bedell Cellars, and Anthony Nappa’s Winemaker Studio.

Martha Clara Vineyards – This is one of the North Fork’s most prestigious wineries and you can sample their award-winning wines at their tasting room. Bring your family, your friends, and even your dog to this beautiful East End winery.
If you’re looking for a wine and cheese excursion during your wine tour, Roanoke Vineyards‘ tasting room is nestled on picturesque Love Lane in Mattituck, adjacent to one of the best cheese shops in the area.
Bedell Cellars – Reason one to go: their tasting room was named one of the top 25 in America by Wine Enthusiast Magazine. Reason two: the family-owned winery has been creating hand-crafting terroir-driven wines for more than 35 years.
A pioneer in the Long Island wine community, the Goerler family has sustainably farmed their grapes since 1986, making it one of the oldest North Fork vineyards. If you’re looking for balance, complexity and harmony in your wine, then go for a red wine or white wine tasting at Jamesport.
Sannino Bella Vita & Scarola Vineyards’ – We’ve mentioned you can stay at these wineries, but the Sannino and Scarola families both makes delicious wines at their vineyards. Stop in for a glass of wine during the day or overnight.
Diliberto – Inspired by the Campania, Italy vineyards, Diliberto Winery features its own tasting room with indoor and outdoor seating. While you’re enjoying their award-winning wine, you’ll be served hoemade pizza and other Italian specialties. Grazie!
